Reverse Lay wire is that having alternating directions of twist for each layer to avoid wire untwisting under tension which can cause pressure connection failure
Concentric and Compressed wires are generally made reverse lay

Compact wire is not Reverse Lay, all strands are twisted the same directions before compacting to produce the smallest diameter possible and the least air space
